PROF. DR. HAYATİ HAZIR
Prof. Dr. Hayati Hazır was born in 1948 in Hemşin, Rize, Türkiye. He completed his secondary education at Etlik Secondary School, his high school education at Yıldırım Beyazıt High School, and his undergraduate studies at Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1973. He began his academic career in 1977 as a research assistant at the Faculty of Basic Sciences, Karadeniz Technical University. He completed his doctoral studies in the Department of General Public Law at Ankara University Faculty of Law. He subsequently served as an Assistant Professor at Dicle University Faculty of Law and Selçuk University Faculty of Law. He obtained the title of Associate Professor at Selçuk University Faculty of Law and was promoted to Professor at Gazi University, Department of Public Administration. Between 2000 and 2004, he served as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Gaziosmanpaşa University.
PROF. DR. OSMAN KARKACIER
Prof. Dr. Osman Karkacier was born in 1962 in Tokat, Türkiye. He completed his undergraduate education in Agricultural Economics at Atatürk University in 1984, his master's degree in Agricultural Economics at Ankara University in 1988, and his doctoral studies in the same field at Ege University in 1991. He began his academic career as a Research Assistant at Cumhuriyet University, where he worked between 1985 and 1992. He subsequently served as a Lecturer at Gaziosmanpaşa University from 1992 to 1993, as an Assistant Professor from 1993 to 1995, as an Associate Professor from 1996 to 2001, and as a Professor from 2002 to 2013. Since 2013, he has been serving as a Professor at Akdeniz University. He served as Dean of our Faculty for two terms between 2005 and 2011.
PROF. DR. YAŞAR AKÇAY
Prof. Dr. Yaşar Akçay was born in 1961 in Erbaa, Tokat, Türkiye. He completed his undergraduate education at Cumhuriyet University. In 1987, he was appointed as a research assistant in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the Tokat Faculty of Agriculture, Cumhuriyet University. He pursued his master's degree in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Ege University Faculty of Agriculture and graduated in 1990. He subsequently went to Ohio State University in the United States to pursue doctoral studies but returned to Türkiye due to health problems. He completed his doctoral studies in Türkiye and was appointed Assistant Professor in 1997, Associate Professor in 2001, and Professor in 2006. He assumed the deanship of our Faculty in 2011. He passed away in 2014 following a heart attack.
PROF. DR. SALİH BARIŞIK
Prof. Dr. Salih Barışık was born in 1970 in Turhal, Tokat, Türkiye. He graduated from the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Dokuz Eylül University, in 1991. He completed his master's degree at the Institute of Social Sciences, Cumhuriyet University, in 1996 and his doctoral studies in 2001 with a dissertation entitled Theories and Applications of Currency Boards. He began his academic career as a Research Assistant in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Cumhuriyet University, in 1997. In June 2002, he was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, Division of Economic Policy, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Zonguldak Karaelmas University. In June 2008, he joined Gaziosmanpaşa University as an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics, Division of Economic Policy, and was promoted to Professor in January 2011. Prof. Dr. Salih Barışık has been serving at Gaziosmanpaşa University since 2008 and served as Dean of our Faculty between 2015 and 2019.
PROF. DR. AHMET ÖZKİRAZ
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Özkiraz was born in 1965 in Tokat, Türkiye. After completing his secondary education in Tokat, he graduated from the Department of Sociology at Selçuk University in 1987. He completed his master's degree in the Department of Sociology at the Institute of Social Sciences, Selçuk University, in 1993, and his doctoral studies in the Department of Sociology at the Institute of Social Sciences, Hacettepe University, in 1999. He began his academic career as a Research Assistant in the Department of Sociology at Selçuk University in 1991. He subsequently joined the Department of Public Administration at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, where he served as an Assistant Professor in 2000, an Associate Professor in 2013, and a Professor in 2018. He served as Dean of our Faculty between 2019 and 2022.
PROF. DR. RÜŞTÜ YAYAR
Prof. Dr. Rüştü Yayar was born in 1969 in Turhal, Tokat, Türkiye. He graduated from the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Çukurova University, in 1993. He began his academic career as a research assistant at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University in 1994 and served as a lecturer at Tokat Vocational School between 1995 and 2009. He completed his master's degree in 1996 and his doctoral studies in 2003 in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the Institute of Science, Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University. In 2009, he joined the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences as an Assistant Professor. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2014 and Professor in 2019. Throughout his academic career, Prof. Dr. Rüştü Yayar has undertaken various academic and administrative responsibilities, including serving as Head of Department, Deputy Head of Department, and a member of the Faculty Council and Faculty Administrative Board. He has also served as an Erasmus and Farabi coordinator, Deputy General Manager of Tokat Technopark, and Coordinator of the Technology Transfer Office. Since 2022, Prof. Dr. Rüştü Yayar has been serving as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University and, since 2026, as Head of the Department of Economics.
